When my computer is connected to my TOTOLINK router and cannot obtain an IP address, I can check if my PC is configured as a static IP by following these steps

STEP 1: 

Right-click the network icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, click to open "Network and internet settings"

STEP 2:

Scroll down, find and click on Network and Sharing Center

STEP 3：

Click on Ethernet

STEP 4：

Point Properties

STEP 5：

Find and double-click Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)

STEP 6：

STEP 7：

The page automatically jumps back to Ethernet and click OK

Assign fixed IP addresses to terminals to prevent some issues caused by IP changes, such as setting up DMZ hosts

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

In the browser address bar, enter: itoolink.net. Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

Go to Advanced Settings>Network Settings>IP/MAC Address Binding

After setting, it indicates that the IP address of the device with MAC address 98: E7: F4:6D: 05:8A is bound to 192.168.0.196

After setting a computer in the local area network as a DMZ host, it will not be restricted when communicating with the internet. 

For example, a certain computer is in progress

For video conferencing or online games, this computer can be set as a DMZ host to make video conferencing and online games smoother. 

Additionally, among internet users

When accessing LAN resources, the server can also be set as a DMZ host.

[Scenario] Suppose you set up an FTP server on the LAN.

[Requirement] Open the FTP server to Internet users, so that family members who are not at home can share the resources on the server.

[Solution] The above requirements can be realized by setting the "DMZ host" function. Assumptions:

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

In the browser address bar, 

enter: itoolink.net. Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

Find the DMZ host under the Advanced Settings NAT menu and turn it on

Internet users can successfully access the intranet FTP server by using the 'Intranet Service Application Layer 

Protocol Name://Current IP Address of the WAN Port'. as

The internal network service port is not the default port number, and the access format is "Internal network service application layer protocol

You can find the current IP address of the router's WAN port in the WAN port information.

Note：

1.After the configuration is completed, if internet users still cannot access the local area network FTP server, it may be due to the system firewall, 

  antivirus software, and other issues on the DMZ host

  The security guard has blocked internet users from accessing. Please close these programs before attempting again.

2.Before configuration, please ensure that the router WAN port obtains a public IP address. 

  If it is a private IP address or an internal IP address assigned by the network operator (in the order of 100

At the beginning, it will result in the inability to implement the function. 

The commonly used address categories for IPv4 include Class A, Class B, and Class C. 

The private network address for Class A address is 10.0.0.0~10.25.255.255; 

The private network addresses for Class B addresses are 172.16.0.0~172.31.255.255; 

The private network address for Class C addresses is

192.168.0.0~192.168.255.255.

Remote WEB management can log in to the router's management interface from a remote location through the Internet, and then manage the router.

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

Note: The default web management port of the router is 8081, and remote access must use the "IP address: port" method 

         (such as http;//wan port IP: 8080) to log in to the router and perform web interface management. 

         This feature requires restarting the router to take effect. If the router sets up a virtual server to occupy port 8080, 

         it is necessary to modify the management port to a port other than 8080. 

         It is recommended that the port number be greater than 1024, such as 80008090.

What should I do if I want to restrict access to the network for some devices or children's devices

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

Controlling the online time of children at home has always been a concern for many parents. 

TOTOTOLINK's parental control function perfectly solves parents' worries.

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

STEP 2 :

Select Advanced ->Parental Controls, and open the "Parental Controls" function

Add new rules, scan all device MACs connected to the router, and select the devices that need to be added with control

STEP 4 :

Set the time period for allowing internet access, and add it to the rules after completing the setting.

The following figure shows that devices with MAC 62:2F: B4: FF: 9D: DC can only access the internet from 18:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday

STEP 5:

At this point, the parental control function has been set up, and the corresponding devices can only access the network within the corresponding time range

Note: To use the parental control function, select the time zone in your region

This article introduces a wireless router compatible with TOTOTOLINK APP, using X6000R as an example

STEP 1:

Follow the steps below to connect your router.

STEP 2 :

Connect the mobile phone to the WiFi of TOTOLINK_X6000R, as shown in the figure below

If there is no such APP, the Android device can download it through the Google play store,

The purpose of setting up DDNS is: under broadband dial-up internet access, the WAN port IP usually changes after 24 hours. 

When the IP changes, it cannot be accessed through the previous IP address. 

Therefore, setting up DDNS involves binding the WAN port IP through a domain name. 

When the IP changes, it can be accessed directly through the domain name.

STEP 1:

Follow the steps below to connect your router.

STEP 2 :

Connect the computer to the router WiFi and enter "192.168.0.1" in the PC browser to log in to the web management interface. 

The default login password is: admin

STEP 3 :

Set the network connection type to PPPoE, this step is to enable the router to obtain a public IP address

STEP 4 :

Select Advanced Settings ->Network ->DDNS, enable the ddns function, then select your ddns service provider 

(support: DynDNS, No IP, WWW.3322. org), and enter the corresponding service provider's username and password. 

After saving, the domain name will automatically bind to your public IP address.

STEP 5: 

After everything is set up, you can open the remote management function for testing. 

By using a dynamic domain name and port, you can access the router management page even if it is not within the same local area network. 

If the access is successful, it indicates that your DDNS settings are successful.

You can also ping the domain name through the CMD of the PC, and if the returned IP is a WAN port IP address, it indicates successful binding.

STEP 1:

The computer is connected to any LAN port 1, 2,3 or 4 of the router through a network cable, or wireless devices such as notebooks and smart phones are connected to the wireless signal of the router through wireless connection (the name of the factory wireless signal can be viewed on the sticker at the bottom of the router, and it is not encrypted when leaving the factory) ;

STEP 1:

Find TOTOLINK_XXXX or TOTOLINK_XXXX_5G (XXXX is the corresponding product model) on the WLAN list of your Phone, and choose to connect. Then any Web browser on your Phone and enter http://itotolink.net on the address bar.

STEP 2:

Enter the password "admin" in the next page and click Login.

STEP 3:

Click Quick Setup on the coming page.

STEP 4:

Select the corresponding time zone according to your country or region then click Next. 

STEP 5:

Select the type of network access, and select a suitable setting point according to the Internet access method provided by the network operator.

STEP 6:

Wireless Setting. Create passwords for 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi (Here users could also revise the default Wi-Fi name) and 

then click Next.

STEP 7:

Set the login GUI interface administrator password, and click Next

STEP 8:

On this page, you can view the network information set by the user, click Finish and wait for the router to save the settings. Then the router automatically restarts and disconnects. Please search for the wireless name you set in the WIFI list of your mobile phone, and enter the password to connect to the WIFI (hint: please keep in mind the information displayed on the configuration summary page, and it is recommended to save the screenshot to prevent forgetting.)

STEP 1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless. Then run any Web browser and enter http://itotolink.net in the address bar.

STEP 2:

Click Quick Setup. 

STEP 3:

Choose an internet connection method

STEP 4:

IPTV is turned off by default and can be turned on if necessary. Please refer to the detailed settings for reference

Set wireless SSID and password
